ASAHI YUKIZAI CORPORATION

Asahi Yukizai will commence construction of a new plant through its group subsidiary in India, Asahi Modi Materials Pvt. Ltd., to increase production capacity for Resin-Coated Sand (RCS) for the Indian market.

Prior to the start of construction, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the planned construction site on June 5, 2026.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Company and of companies located in the same industrial park. Participants prayed for the safe and smooth execution and successful completion of the construction work, as well as for continued growth and development in the years ahead.

In recent years, manufacturers of automobiles, agricultural machinery, and construction machinery with production bases in India have been ramping up production, driven by expanding domestic demand. As a result, demand for foundry-related materials has been growing rapidly. In light of this business environment, and as part of the growth strategy set out in the Mid-Term Management Plan GNT2030, the Company is proceeding with plans to construct the new plant, which will expand production capacity to approximately 1.2 times that of the existing plant, in order to strengthen its supply system in India. The new plant is scheduled for completion in October 2027. While the new plant will handle products similar to those of the existing plant, the Company will leverage its technological capabilities to provide higher value-added products and contribute to the further development of India’s foundry industry.
